We only ask for what an event actually needs to run smoothly:

We also log limited technical signals (such as IP address and request timing) purely to block bots and abusive automated sign-ups — never to profile you.

• Confirm your registration and deliver your ticket code by email.
• Run the event — guest lists, check-in at the door, and capacity management.
• For paid events, reconcile your payment and confirm your seat.
• Review speaker applications and let you know our decision either way.
• Send essential, event-specific updates (schedule changes, venue, joining links).
• Keep the platform secure and prevent fraudulent or duplicate sign-ups.

• We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
• We do not spam you — event emails are tied to events you engaged with.
• We do not share your contact details with other attendees.
• We do not use your data to build advertising profiles.

One deliberate exception: if you apply to speak and we confirmyou for the line-up, your speaker profile becomes part of the public event page — your name, role, company, bio, the links you chose to share, your published work, and your photo if you added one. That's the point of speaking: visibility.

Everything else — your email, phone, attendee registrations, and any application that isn't confirmed — stays private to you and our event team.

• Registrations and tickets are retained while the event is upcoming and for a reasonable period afterwards for records and follow-ups.
• Speaker applications are kept to manage the line-up and, with confirmed speakers, to maintain the event archive.
• When data is no longer needed for these purposes, we delete or anonymise it.

• Data is stored on secured infrastructure with encrypted connections.
• Access is limited to the Lazervault team members who run events.
• Ticket look-ups require both your email and a valid ticket code, so no one can list your bookings from an email alone.
• Uploaded photos are stored on our own servers, not handed to third parties.

• View or cancel a booking any time on the Find my ticket page — cancelling releases your seat and removes you from the guest list.
• Access, correct, or deleteyour information, or withdraw a speaker application, by emailing us — we'll action it promptly.
• Opt out of event updates by replying to any event email.
