AML & KYC Policy
Lazervault is committed to preventing money laundering, terrorist financing, and fraud. This page summarises how we verify customers, monitor activity, and cooperate with the authorities.
Last updated August 13, 2026
We operate a risk-based anti-money-laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist-financing programme aligned with Nigerian law and the requirements of our licensed partners. This summary complements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
Accounts operate on KYC tiers. Your verification level sets your transaction and balance limits. Completing a higher tier raises your limits and unlocks more features. Limits are applied to reduce risk and to comply with regulatory thresholds.
Where we are required to, we report suspicious activity to the relevant Nigerian authorities. We may be legally prohibited from telling you when we do so. We do not provide services to sanctioned persons or for unlawful purposes.
We retain identity and transaction records for the period required by law, even after an account is closed. These records are held securely and used only for legal and compliance purposes, then deleted once the retention period ends. See our Account & Data Deletion page for detail.
Lazervault works with regulated partners who run their own KYC and AML controls, including Mono for open banking and verification, Flutterwave for payments, and Quidax, an SEC-licensed exchange, for crypto. Your activity with those services is also subject to their compliance programmes.
